View section markers: Can I change the "Z"?

In the picture below, a section marker is shown and it contains the letter "Z". I want to change that letter to Y, X, W, and on up. Is this possible and if so, how is it done?

This is the standard marker that Revit 2018 uses. I gave enough information that anyone who uses the standard marker for section views should know what I'm talking about. But, since you insist, here's the properties window.

Actually, no, there is not enough information. I just started a new project with 2018 architectural template and drew a section. There is no "Z" or any other letter in that location.

Can you enlighten us as to what it represents?

Can you just click on it to edit it?

(When people who are trying to help you ask for more information, it isn't clear to them what you are asking.)

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Hi..

There is a bit of customisation done .. ( from your company standards ), BIM Manager ..etc

Checkout these addition, probably " Text" might be the parameter which is associated which you are looking for.." z"

( no one can say for sure here till we have hands on actual revit family / file )

Custom Parameters ( These can be Project parameters or Shared depending one the setup )Custom Parameters ( These can be Project parameters or Shared depending one the setup )

Secondly if you want to see the actual family used for that " Section " Head and Section tail then follow this...

Section - Section Tag - Section Head / tail...

Custom Section -2.jpg

and if you are curious to find where those section tail are then you can check in the families..

just right click on the main type ( not sub type ) and Edit...

it should open the Section head family to edit..

Hope that helps..

If you will have further questions..

someone will help you out for sure..

Cheers.

Depends on what template you are starting with.  My default section marker is round with an arrow... So you are incorrect that we know exactly what you are talking about.
