I am not sure but I think you are confused between Revit view scale and Autocad Viewport Scale...In revit you draw to true units and the scale is manage via View controls and not like Autocad viewports scaling ie: Once set in the View Control bar or Properties dialoge it will be true scale to which your sheet will show and plot once you add that view to the sheet (No scales are set on the sheets - what you see there is extracted from the view and ready to plot Hence when you plot your sheets do it 1:1 without any scaleing factors

That being said; activating a Viewport on a sheet in Revit allows you to open a direct link and work as if working directly on the view from the sheet. ie: zooming an active viewport on the sheet will not affect the scale of that view. It will always maintain the scale set in the Properties/Controls of that view.

You want same view but different scales? Go to the Project Browser; right click and duplicate the view; reset scale to the desired ratio 1/100 1/50  1/5 on the duplcate/copy and drag that view on to your sheet.

*Edit* I just noticed @LisaDrago signature "You can't think AutoCAD and run Revit." funny Coincidence

Yes, When I place a view on my Title sheet and print the sheet.

My guess the Code officials my be checking say 3/8" =12" and its not working out to Scale.

So Is it A "View Scale or an actual working scale of 3/8" = 12"

when you set your view to a scale 3/8" = 12"  (which is a standard pre-set scale you can choose fromt he view controls) it will be the actual plotted scale of the viewport placed on the sheet (When plotted @ 100% ie: not fit to page, or a % applied to the zoom factor in the plot settings

Unless it is the wrong scale to start with; if the officials/engineers told you that 3/8" = 12" is not working out to scale  then you might need to check your plot settings. If its set to  (fit to page) that may mess the scale even if the page match the sheet - Plot to 100% zoom

Hello again, I am still having issues printing actual "true 3/8" = 12" scale.
Let me say this I am much older (68 yrs. old )then most Autodesk members and it take me a lot more to get it down correctly. So for me its a step by step process. It may be my printer and or I am missing a step or two along the way. Please help again if you have the time thanks Joe

When you hit print, click the "setup" button in the bottom right corner of the Print Dialogue window to access the Print Settings. Int hat Setup window, make sure "Zoom" is selected and that it is set to 100%, and make sure you do NOT have "Fit to Page" selected.

Maybe post a sample drawing here so one of us can take a look at the drawings to make sure you're code official is not out of his/her mind!

Hello Lisa, I thank you for your help in solving my issue, along with your reply and a few others here at Autodesk. I figured it all out. In the end what I didn't realize I had down loaded the 24" x 36' "D size" and I was Printing on 18" x 24" "C" paper causing the scale not to print as required. trying to save paper and ink. Again Thank you

Hello RDAOU, I want to thank you for your help, I final figured it out and along with your input and others on the Autodesk site. What I was doing was printing on "C" 18" x 24" size paper instead of the "D" size that I down loaded into my project. I will admit I didn't use the 100 % and Center the drawing.
So I will need to make a decision in the beginning to either use 18" x 24" "C" or the 24" x 36" "D" Thank you for your help.

Hello Zarchit, Thank you for your help, I finally figured it out along with your help and others on the Auto desk site. the fit to page I was using and move over to Center and 100% like you mentioned and others. I also was printing the "C" size 18" x 24" to save paper and Ink. When in fact I had down loaded the 24" x 36" "D" size Title block. That was causing all of my issues with the code officials. Thank you

You don’t.

Stop thinking AutoCAD. Start thinking Revit.

Activate the view on the sheet and set the scale you need it to be. There isn’t a ‘scale to fit’ option if that’s what you are after.
