The problem as I see it is this: You wants to be able to tag the underside of a floor slab on a plan view which is on a level below the hosted level of the slab and Revit won't allow you to display it.
In my experience, this is usually resolved by having the information on two seperate drawings, which Revit handles without a problem.
- A foundation and pile plan showing the location of piles and levels top and bottom as required. The outline of the slab is a plus but not always required;
- A slab on grade plan which can show the top and bottom levels of slabs, from which excavation information can be extrapolated.
But I understand you want both in the same view and since in Revit, if you can't view it, you can't tag it, the problem is how to display cut foundations and the slab above in the same view.
Solution 1: Use underlay to display the slab in the foundation level view.
Solution 2: Create a view level called "Piles" on the slab level called "Slab". Change the visibility graphics to show the slab with hidden lines and the piles with thick cut lines.
