View Range in Revit

Hi All. New Member here...

How do I set up the view range to show everything that i need to show on 1 plan.
I draw on First Floor which is set to 2720mm
I want to view the Walls below the first floor and be able to work with them from first floor level.
I want all the brick walls to be hatched unless there is an opening (Generic Model) in the wall
I want to see the hollow core slabs (Structural Framing) - as this is my main purpose for using revit.
I also need to show walls on top of the hollow core slabs in a dashed line.

This is what it looks like with my current plan view and view range.

In the clouded area there is an opening as per 3D

This opening shows hatched on first floor plan, but i want it to show like this View Range also.First Floor Plan 2.PNG

But now my Hollow Core Slabs (Structural Framing) does not show up properly and I can't select them, to change details.
I had a workaround with this, by making the opening height 2720 if I only needed to submit a 2D Plan, but want it in 3D to be correct as well

Any suggestions

Keep the Ground floor plan to capture entrance ( opening ) etc..

to get the Wall from first floor, use "Underlay" and the use Linework " LW " and pick

the wall, so that its tied to wall and will stay coordinated.

and finally switch off "underlay"

Similarly, for the First floor level, you can " Underlay" Ground floor, and use linework ( LW ) ( lock ) to

capture any element you want to see, and then turn off " Underlay :

use of Plan region, and changing view range is good only for the same floor and elements which are not cutting

in the cut plan, But to use Plan region to capture elements on other levels is a bit problematic...

Best luck

I will assume the top plan is close to what you want except it is not showing the openings?  If that is the case I think you are going to need to use "Plan Regions" at the openings to get them to show. A plan region basically lest you set a custom view range for the area inside of the plan region.

I had the plan region as an option, but, we have multiple openings and 10 new projects per day.

It gets a long process to put a plan region on all the openings.

Is there not a way to override the visibility graphics of the opening instead?
