View Control Bar Buttons not working

Hello all,

I have a user who is having an issue with his View Control Bar. Some of the buttons are not working (specifically the Detail Level and Visual Style buttons). The tool tip pops up when hovered with a mouse, but when clicked, they do nothing. This is on all projects, in Revit 2021 and 2022. Any thoughts?

Are there View templates assigned to the views that are controlling those settings?

@chubbard It doesn't matter if there is or not, the actual settings options don't even appear. Basically this popup doesn't show when clicking on it:

Looks to me like a View Template in charge.  You say there is none? Weird. Post the file and let us examine.

Change the screen resolution to 1920 x 1080 and the Display Scaling to 100% and see if it helps.

It happens on every file, even brand new ones. I'll try the screen scaling idea. We are going to swap out his video card too and see if that is the culprit.

Well, something jacked up Revit. Repair. Disable Add-ins.  etc. That's how I would roll.

If that doesn't resolve, open a Support Case.

It is showing but either on the second monitor or simply off screen if second monitor gets unplugged. That happens oft when using a Revit-ODD resolution/scaling with dual/triple monitors...

We had 2 machines at our office with the same issue (several drop/pop menus), we ended up swapping the multiple monitors with a single extra wide monitor instead of compromising on the Resolution and Scaling. Since then they never had the issue.

Before you swap the Card (unless it needs an upgrade) test the monitors
