I didn’t know this was possible! Vertical edges via Modify Sub-Elements! Will wonders never cease!

Cool. But, to understand this better, it would be good to see a video, to see you "repeatedly zooming in and nudging split lines"  🤔

Thanks for the feedback.

 

I planned on doing a Screencast if anybody was as surprised as I.  Frankly, I thought it might be old news and just an overlooked nugget by me.  I mean, Revit has had Modify Sub Elements as far back as I can remember. 

 

I'll post a Screencast soon.

 

P.S.  Funny, I even thought I might have discovered this (and posted about it) in the past, but just forgot about it because I had no use for it.  Now it seems it would be useful towards calculating Net Cut/Fill since we no longer have Building Pads.  Doing those calcs without Building Pads/Topo Infills is a PITA.

Oh, simple Pad tool in Revit 2023, I miss you. Those things that you show above, an elevated platform or a hole, or a combination of cut and fill in the same step, all that was done very easily with the Pad tool.
