Varying Type in an Array Group

Hi all!

I was wondering if it is possible to vary type of a family in an array group. I basically want to vary material property of a family in an array. Let me know if you have a solution. Thank you!

Not in an array group.

But there are ways to do it using adaptive family hosted by divided surface/divided spline, or curtain wall/curtain system.

@tolgahazan

It depends where is the family being arrayed.

  1. if it is arrayed in the family, No you cant
  2. but if it is being arrayed in the project, you can.

Example: Material below is a shared parameter used in the family and also added to Generic Models in the project as an Instance project Shared parameter with Values can Vary by group instance checked

Thanks for the video! It needs to be in the family for this project but #2 can come handy some other time.
