Upgrading message when opening Revit model

Im Trying to open a rvt file in my 2016 version and it will tell me that file was creadet using a later version but then i go and open it on 2017 and it will show the upgrading model dialog. I serioulsy haver no idea what to do because all the other models in this project are 2016 and we are not ready to make the migraion just yet.

 

Any ideas?

Hello are you opening the file from window explorer? Try to open your Revit program first then open your file. Thanks

Thanks for posting on our forum! It's been a while and I'm checking back to see if you are still facing this issue.

 

When you open a model from an earlier release of Revit, the model may need to be upgraded to the current release.
