Unwanted extrusion outlines showing in 3D views.

Hi all,

I'm building a family using the window template for a metal frame & GRP panelling system for access to a kitchen extract. As shown on the images attached it's modelled very basically as the wall cut through, a basic steel frame extrusion & a nominal GRP panel extrusion. When zoomed close to the family it works well, however as I zoom out the outline of the steel frame extrusions show through the panelling. This happens on all the visual styles I've tried and still occurs if I move the panelling forward so it's not in direct contact with the frame. Any help would be much appreciated.

Revit does that when two elements are sharing the same plane/surface. Try to add some difference in the depth of the elements that are not displaying correctly.

Can you assign the geometry to a subcategory that you create in the family and turn the subcategory off in a view template that you create in the 3D view?

That's sorted it thanks, it's a shame it requires a work around like that though!
