Unjoin element from single element in Revit 2019 vs Revit 2018

Hi,

So i recently upgraded from Revit 2018 to 2019. In 2018 i seem to remember that it was possible to unjoin and element from another element by first clicking the element to unjoin and secondly to click the element to unjoin from. Now in Revit 2019 it seems that if i use the shortcut UJ and press the element i want to unjoin, unjoins from EVERYTHING instead of the element i wish to unjoin from.

Is there a way to manipulate this so i can unjoin an element from another single element?

i just tried unjoining three walls from a floor in Revit 2019.  It allows me to select 1 wall at a time.  I can't seem to get it to do what you state...can you make a video so I can see?

@dzanta I think he meant if he has a wall connected to 2 or more slabs for example and he uses unjoin and select wall then the wall unjoins from everything it is connected to

I've haven't been using revit for a while and I do not have 2019 yet ... but I'm pretty sure Unjoin Geometry has been always single pick and "Unjoins an element from everything" even in much older versions dating back to 2014 and 2016 (well at least the ones I still have on my laptop)

@daan.kennis UJ was not a standard shortcut in 2018 and back...Can u check what it reads in the command line when u run that command shortcut in 2018 and 2019

sorry...my misunderstanding.

as far as I remember, unjoin geometry defaults to unjoining all at a single instance...

Can't make a video but i try to state my problem with some screenshots.

1. Walls are not joined.

2. Floor is joined to walls by using Join command and joining all 3 walls.

1. Unjoin command => press Floor => Everything ( the 3 walls) that were joined to the floor are being unjoined.

I thought it was possible to just unjoin the floor with just a single wall as shown in picture 4.

don't choose the floor when asked, choose the wall.

if you choose the floor, all walls will be unjoined from the floor

if you choose a wall, only that wall will be unjoined from the floor
