Hi, I'm trying to download Revit 2023 but I keep getting the 'insufficient privileges..' except it's all set for Administrator with Full control. Any attempt to change this as suggested by many sites leads to the Error Applying Security message - "An error occurred while applying security information to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Autodesk AdSSO Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied."
The AdSSO update fails at the same point.

Any ideas please?

Hi Michael,
Thank you for checking the post. I have managed to download Revit 2023 successfully after a few more attempts just before your message. I didn't need to try the article solution.
Just to help anyone else who may have problems with AdSSO, this is how it happened.
Initially, the attempt to install Revit failed at about 17% with the 'insufficient privileges..' message at the AdSSO level. All parent folders etc have Full Control but AdSSO would not allow even viewing the security settings.
I tried the AdSSO update using Option 2 as described in https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/simplecontent/content/autodesk-s....
This also failed at the same level when trying to install from the unzipped file.
I restarted the PC and tried the AdSSO again; I noticed there was a different alphanumeric file? needed to make the changes compared to previous attempts. I didn't note them down. However, this time the AdSSO worked and I was then able to install Revit 2023 successfully.
I'm not sure what that all meant but it worked and hopefully it might help someone else.
Thanks again.
