Transparent filled region not appearing when printed

I have a floor plan with 3 transparent filled regions. There is some overlap between each one - they're meant to indicate phasing for an ongoing project. When I print the sheet to PDF, only one of the regions appears on the printed sheets. The other two are empty, even though their outlines are there. They all have the same settings. I tried printing it on raster, and then the two appear as opaque - where previously they were diagonal lines, they became a solid fill of that color. I've seen changing VG to Hidden Line as a suggestion, but everything was already set to Hidden line. Any ideas?

I'm guessing that you can see them on the screen.  If you duplicate the view with detailing do you get the same result?

Or if you duplicate without detailing then copy them to the clipboard and paste aligned...does that work.
