Transferring Plot Styles/Tables and Layer Properties from AutoCAD to Revit

Hello AutoDesk community,

I've just started at an Interior Design/Planning specific firm a little over a week ago - it is a relatively small firm, but with a good amount of work coming through our doors, and CD sets are coming up quickly. The firm's workflow is primarily through AutoCAD and Sketchup, which I am more than efficient enough in to keep work going, but I am the most savvy in Revit, and am the only one in the office who knows it well enough to use it in the professional field - basically, I am the test run for the office to see whether or not it is worth the time to invest in learning Revit, as other firms and groups in the surrounding areas are heavy into Revit.

I, without a doubt, believe I am capable to bring Revit into our office - but I have one particular concern, which brings me to my question. I need to transfer their existing layer styles; properties, line weights, color for plotting and their plot styles and plot tables into Revit so that when I export my drawings and details into AutoCAD, the AutoCAD properties they use daily are the same, and we do not have to go in and manually match the layers and properties. Is there anyone with suggestions able to help?

Thanks in advance!

Best,

Sean

Yes, it is possible. Please refer to the Help documents, about loading layers from a file, at:
