transfer single view template

According to FAQ the view template transfer has been fixed. Not so. Using version 2018.3 and view template transfer fails with existing and new models. When will this be a working tool?

Hi, I'm pretty sure this is not available in Revit.

what I would as a work around is create a new project and import your templates

then purge and delete (By going view tab, view templates, manage view templates) whats left of view templates until you only have the one then you need, and finally transfer templates from the new file to where you need it!

i hope this helps

Delete the other templates, safe as different file and transfer project settings?
edit: same answer was already given above, perhaps there's an easier way can't think of one though.

Edit 2: you could ofcourse recreate the view template settings in your project...

For those still running into this seemingly simple task of tranfering a specific view template between projects - the pyRevit extension "EF-Tools" offers this funcionality in a simple and straightforward way.

(pyrRevit is the best, for those not yet familiar with it - check it out! open source and great)

Was going to recommend the same - EF-Tools has this feature built in.

To install EF-Tools you will need to install Pyrevit. Pyrevit has the ability to pick individual view templates and send them to another project. It's a tool I have used quite a bit.
