Toposurface not coloured in 3d view

toposurface does not show any color when applied brick, common in material and finishes. I have checked for phase and phase filter settings which are same for site and 3D view ie show all for phase filter and new construction for phase. I have checked  visibility/Graphics  for site and topography as well. Also why dont i have grass in material and finishes?

please help.

Hey, it sounds topography material (Brick) is not visible only in 3D view? Or all views it's not visible. Just clear this.

If I am right, you're applying the material for the toposurface in wrong way.

And you have to apply the material for toposurface means Select the toposurface --> Edit Surface --> properties palette -->Material and finishes , there you assign the material for the surface , on your right side of the material browser dialogue box Don't forget to Enable the "Use Render appearance"  check box. Then click apply and ok.I guess it ll works out.

IF I ANSWERED, MARK IT AS A SOLUTION.

Topographical surfaces do not support surface patterns.

Here's another solution I found that worked for me immediately....

If no colors are show up in the 3D view after you have applied them to the site, then do the  following....

Click anywhere outside the of the site topography so the top of the 'Properties' panel says 3D View (with the 'house' symbol), then..... go down to 'Identity Data', click on view template and a 'Apply view Template' dialogue box will pop up.

Change the name to  'Architectural Presentation 3D'

then Click apply.....
