Is there a way to make a fence that looks like a fence and not modern art? I'd like to represent a fence with straight sloped rails that aren't all kinked up like the topography that the fence is hosted to. Is there a way to do it? I've seen thousands of fences and none of them ever look like this.

Depends on what you mean by "look like a fence".   What are the top/bottom rails?  They look like PVC segments. No kidding.   Is your rail sketch a whole bunch of segments or one continuous sketch line?

Anyways, maybe you want to build a stepped fence atop a stepped foundation below the surface. Food for thought.

Model it as a curtain wall and edit profile as you see fit.

You could grade the Topo between fence posts and install new top/bottom rails.

Only half kidding.
