Topography subregion is missing

I have a topography set up and I created Sub-Regions and changes material on them to be gravel or concrete and it shows up in the realistic view in floor plan. However I have since tried to add another subregion but it shows up white and doesn’t turn blue when the Topography is clicked on and it can not clicked on or edited and it does not appear to render in Floor plan view like the other Sub-Regions

Sounds like there is no material with "photorealistic" Appearance assigned to it?

The material is “pot dirt” which appears realistic in site view and in the 3d camera view but appears white in the floor plan view and does not allow me to select it

It is hidden in View by any chance?

It is not hidden, it almost appears as a hole in the topography but you cannot see through it

Tile a plan view and a 3d view, select it in the 3d view, edit the boundary and see if you can see the boundary in the plan view.

Check your View Range.  If the subregion is entirely outside the View Range then it won't show in a plan view.  If the subregion is partially or wholly within the View Range, then it will show in it's entirety.

I know it’s a couple years late but answering as best as I can for anyone else struggling in the future. I don’t have a technical answer as to why this happens but after much frustration I found an easy way around it. Firstly let me point out that making one continuous subregion that’s too long tends to glitch the topography and cause this “hole” in the topography, rather make shorter consecutive subregions to form the intended path. Secondly I find that this glitch happens when building pads are involved. My quick fix is to select your building pads and cut them to clipboard, once the pads are “removed” from the topography you should be able to select the “missing” subregion and delete it. Thereafter past the building pad selection to current view and you should have the problem sorted. Just reapply the subregion that was giving issues and you should be good, well at least in my case. Hope it helps.
