Join Nested Non-Shared Families

Dear All,

Is there a way to get rid of those lines (marked in yellow). I have joined nested non-shared families in the host family. In 3D view everything looks fine both in Family and Project Document, but in any planar view it is divided. Any suggestions?

I attach the family as well (RVT 2019)

I think that might be the least of your worries. Have you tried flexing it? I did. It broke to smithereens.

It shows okay in project, though.

I did. What do you mean it broke? Flexing works fine for me

Also when its cut? Can you send me screenshot that it's correct at yours?

Elevation is fine. Section is not.

Or you can make the component shared then join them in the project.

I mean when I changed certain user-entry parameters it broke. Plain and simple.

Regarding your join issue; you're going to lose joins anyways when you start flexing it.

Out of curiosity, why don't you use the stair tool?

Stair tool is too limited when it comes to custom shapes, so basically is useless in most cases...

With flexing all is solvable, so the problem lies in in-built elements visibility bahaviour

@ToanDN

shared nested families will not work with ifc export unfortunately

I don't know what you mean by "custom" shapes, but  99% of your monolithic straight flight family can be done using Revit Stairs. I would agree that there are some limitations with Revit Stairs, and I do see two conditions in your design that Revit Stairs can't do, but those would be relatively easy to "fix" in the Project.
