What do you mean by the above statement? "Part by part"?  "Single surface"?

Post a picture.

Hi @Anonymous!

If I understand your issue, you have a toposurface comprises by multiple parts and you want export to IFC these elements as a single part, correct?

Could you share some images of your toposurface for analysis, please?

Hi @Anonymous!

Configure the Export IFC Options like following image. Depending IFC version, this configuration will be different.

With this setting each part of toposurface will exported separately.

If you'll use the ifcSite class on Topography category, the Toposurface will be exported as single element, regardless you have modeled each part isolately.

Please, let me know if you got solve your issue, ok?

Hi @Anonymous!

To export the building pads to IFC, setting at "Site->Pads" category in "Export IFC options" the IFC class "IfcFooting" like the image below.

After, just export the IFC file using the same configurations that you presented in you first post.

Please, let me know if you got solve your issue, ok?

Hi @barthbradley!

See the solution tha I suggest for @Anonymous  about building pads. The ideia is the same of toposurface, this is, to define the properly IFC classe in "Export IFC Options" window.

Please, let me know if you got solve your issue, ok?

Hi @Anonymous!

I'm sharing at link below 3 files:
1. The project that I've used to study your issue
2. The ifc file for this project, exported as I suggested
3. The configuration IFC file that you can load in "Export IFC Options"

My test files

https://drive.google.com/file/d/17IaLlNTvNx4625rnktKDh7I5lmLDBTKw/view?usp=sharing

Please, check these files. You'll be note that in my IFC the toposurfaces coming as a seperated elements and bulding pads is exported, too. The image bellow show how my IFC file is visualized into BIM Vision software:

Export IFC - Toposurface problem-03.png

Two important information: I'm using Revit 2019 update 2.2 and IFC 2019 (version 19.3.0) export extension.

Maybe, you should update you Revit and the IFC export extension. The last version of this extension can be downloaded by this link:

Please, let me know if you got solve your issue, ok?

Hi, @Anonymous!

To export the wall thickness to IFC you should use the "IFC2x3 GSA Concept Design BIM 2010" setting.
