Topo - Bad contours

I'm trying to create a topo surface from contours provided to us. What causes results like this? Is there anything I can do to fix it on my end? Or suggestions I can make to the consultant on how to improve their process? Thanks.

Can you post the source for trouble shooting?

Did you create Topo from CAD Import.  You may have checked too many layers.  Check just the layers which have the intermediate and index contour line  work.

Revit doesn't like top of wall points... just find all of those points and delete them.  Or go with @barthbradley and make sure you don't import that layer.

Actually, importing is fine -- just exclude (uncheck) that layer in the dropdown for selecting layers prior to generating the Topo.  Doesn't help though if that line work in on the same layers as the contours.  I'd isolate the contour layers in the view, and make sure there isn't any non related line work on those layers.  If there is; move 'em to another layer in AutoCAD.

It appears to be because the contours are stacked directly on top of one another.

Really? Is it a block?  I've seen this before.  Just delete the block.  If the alarms go off, you don't know me.

No, like stacked too close. Not enough offset in the feature line or something.

Like I said....Revit doesn't like walls...as in points on top of points.

Did you import from a CAD file or a Point txt/csv file?

Where the heck are you getting this dwg from? You asked in the beginning what you need to do to improve the workflow. I'd tell the consultant to sent you the base civil mapping -- or, cut out the middleman entirely, and go directly to the Civil Engineer.  

That's what I'd do.
