Top edge of railings

How do you control the profile of the top edge of a railing?

I want the top edge of the railing to host onto the bottom edge of the stair.

Any help would be appreciated.

Think you just set it to the correct height and you could delete the top rail... what you're trying, is to host it to two stairs.

You can hack it all you like, but you still can't host a railing to two stairs...  (But it's a great lecture)

Didn't answer the first question I noticed. In the railing type properties find the top rail section to adjust it (profile under type) or you can tab select the top rail and edit type in the view directly (similar to editing/unpinning curtain wall mullion).
