top constraint

hi, i was drawing my parameter for the exterior wall with a floor above, and later on i wanted to change the top constraint of wall it wouldn't budge,

but if i drew a new wall i would be able to modify it. i need help with the parameter walls.

Are the walls attached to the roof above?  Select them and choose Detach Top/Base from the ribbon to free them up from any attachments.
