Titleblock questions: Filled Region transparency & object levels?

I'm trying to make my titleblock more dynamic.  I'm trying to add some colour (albeit just grey) to make it pop more.  But there are a couple problems I'm having that don't make sense.

First:  Why can't I make a Filled Region transparent while creating a titleblock family?

Second:  Why can't I bring forward or push backward lines and filled regions while creating a titleblock family.

Edit the Filled region type and untick Masking box.

Create the Filled region first, or cut and paste the other elements after you created the filled region so that they stay on top.

That option is not available.  It is greyed out.  See attached.

I tried that.  It did not work.

Do not use Foreground fill.  Use Background.

Didn't work.  Same results.

Maybe you should share your family.

@Anonymous : I see you started another tread on this issue.  I am wondering now if this issue might be related to hardware.  May I ask; can you reproduce what I'm showing in the screenshot below?

NOTE: In order to activate the "MASK", the Fill Pattern must be set to something other than Solid Fill.  Once the Mask condition is set (checked or unchecked), change the Fill Pattern to "Solid Fill".

Dunno. Maybe you had "Gemlins" in your computer yesterday, and restarting the computer today kicked 'em out.  Might be a grain of truth there.  I've resolved many an issue by simply rebooting.

Hey, since we did good here, do you think you could credit us with the solution on your other thread on this topic as well?

Cheers

No.  Your solution worked.  Once I changed it back to solid fill it went grey again.  It doesn't make sense that making it a non-solid fill would make transparency capable, and then blah blah blah, it doesn't matter.  Thanks for helping me figure it out.

Hello all, so after all, is there a solution for this issue? Still doesn't work for me, SOLID filled region shows transparent in family editor but once load in revit it shows solid.

Hello all,

When loading a Generic Annotation family into a Title Blok family, the filled region covers lines - even after applying all listed solutions.
Has this problem been solved, so that the lines visible in the family editor also show in the Titleblock family/project?

Edit: Creating filled regions for each segment divided by lines works, but isn't a usefull solution to the problem.

Make the generic annotation family shared.

Thank you for your reply, but unfortunately it doesn't change the result.

^^ this. changed the solid fill to none. to remove the tick. then changed the colours and got an error message and the program froze, had to close with task manager and restart revit, work lost.
