Tiles: rendering vs realistic issue

Hello,

I have this issue with Revit 2017 that i could not solve in all possible ways.

The material itself has 30x30 cm relief to show as ceramic tiles.

In realistic view it shows right (check image ss2) while in render it shows weird (check image ss)

I have tried changing material asset and changing material and using image bump instead of tile bump and still the same issue.I made sure 2 floors are not overlapping and not any other floor is overlapping in other phases. i tried as well auditing the file and checking online for solutions there are none.

Please get back to me ASAP. THanks!!

Hi,

In your material setting, be sure that your image size, bump, and relief pattern are following the same scale and positioning.

Hi,

Everything is correct, as you see in realistic it shows correct and in normal situations realistic reflects rendering..

I've been using revit fully for my work for 5 years and this is the first time i get this problem.

The material has no image but only a bump since it is ceramic and in the material editor the preview is right.

You can check the attached image

Can you assign the material on a piece of wall or floor, copy paste it to a new file, and upload it?

there might be a deviation in the material joints line when you did the bump setting from the material editor

So you are saying the file is corrupt?

Smate have you tried to see if there is a possibility to a duplicated floor , you might have two floor one under the other .

or if you can copy the material and upload it it will be great to make an examination of the file .

Yes I have said in the original comment I made sure there are no duplicate floors and again the realistic shows right which is usually what should render. Okay I will upload the file in a bit.

Thank you!

hello i just checked your model , there is no problem in your file even in the model itself , i tried that in a new project and it is the same thing , the best solution for now is to use a ceramic tile photo for the pattern i have attached this material to this message in addition to the initial file 6630-bump.jpg

This is very odd, nothing is working.. i tried the image from (alyrashid) as a bump as well but still the same. I copied the floor to another file and still the same!

maybe i need an uninstall and reinstall for revit

If you ever look at the OOTB tile appearance asset, they do not use the Tile procedural option for Relief Pattern, but a Tile image.  See the revised file attached.
