Can anyone help me create a custom .pat file for a chevron tile pattern (2" x 9")

I have written a .pat file for herringbone pattern but not sure how would a chevron work.

@Anonymous Have you tried the "PyRevit" add-in? It allows you create patterns by selection. 🙂

Here you go. You just need to add extra Revit Parameter for Model or Drafting

Try this, based on 9" side, 2" across, no gaps:

9" x 36" staggered tile at 45 degree angle is somewhat ambiguous.

Its a Running bond pattern.

Each tile is 9" x 36".

See attached picture. Those are 9" x 36" tiles but I need to have them staggered.

Hope I make more sense.

That has very little to do with a thread topic regarding chevrons - and  they don't come much simpler:

;%VERSION=3.0
;%UNITS=INCH
*36x9@45
;%TYPE=MODEL

45,0,0,0,9

135,0,0,0,36

Makes perfect sense! Here you go 🙂

You can rotate model patterns in Revit, so i included non-rotated and also rotated.

Non-Rotated: https://pattycake.io/pat/YlRMJNZowpA

Rotated: https://pattycake.io/pat/kRwAneZJqv3

Just click download at the top and import the PAT file into your revit.Nonrotated.JPGNonrotated.JPG

I think the top one is enough. Users can rotate model patterns to any given angle if they need to.

My bad, staggered is still very simple:

;%VERSION=3.0
;%UNITS=INCH
*36x9@45staggered
;%TYPE=MODEL

45,0,0,0,9

135,0,0,0,18,9,-9

I require a Pat file for 2 1/4" x 7 5/8" tile which is layed out horizontally on a running bond pattern.

See attached screenshot.

Thanks a lot in advance!! 🙂

PS - Next time start a new thread/post --- I think mods might get made this thread is solved twenty times over and this request isn't related to herringbone.

As requested: https://pattycake.io/pat/Xl0vgKVg6Yd

Modular: https://pattycake.io/pat/8Ge5nGGRgdl

Verify settings on the left are correct and then click download (will download a .pat automatically).

I included a 'modular' sizing --- I assume you are doing standard brick for these requested sizes? So i'd encourage you to use the modular sizes instead of the 'as requested' since this will accommodate grout thickness of 3/8" (typical). And then you wont be off several inches off over the course of the facade/wall/whatever.

These are made using our Pattycake Template/Calculators (see image, top right panel) - so you if you need to adjust the values further, create an account and enable 'pattycake pro' under settings. All free for another couple of weeks during our last stages of beta testing. If interested, use code: "sprinkles19"
