There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements

I am try in to create window family. there is 2 slash. For one slash i apply void sweep. then i try to apply void sweep in next slash. but there is error.(There is a circular chain of references among the highlighted elements.) here with i attached screen shot. anyone tell me what happens & how to solve it. Thanks. (using 2011 version)

Hi there,

 

The easiest would be if you could post or private message the window family to look at.

 

Are you creating the sweep by picking the path or sketching it?

What happens when you mirror the first void & try creating the second void like that? If it works you can contain the path afterwords.

Thanks for the replying.

 

Using 2011

 

Void sweep -> pick path -> pick 3d edges.

Edit profile ->
Then draw the pattern.

Click green right mark.
Again Click green right mark.

 

this is the way i try to do make void sweep.

 

As your opinion i try to do mirror, it's working.

Hi there,

 

I trick that has worked for me in the past is to cut to clipboard the solid geometry (like deleting object) & paste aligned to same place.

Create second sweep & ensure existing voids that turned orange from the step above is set to cut the geometry again using the cut geometry tool.
