I would like understang why the material appears right even if in the properties browser (in the appearance ribbon bar) the image setted was other. This problem is because the name in the appearance bar is different that family's name (information field)?

Thanks!

[1] and [2] are two different things.  What are you talking about?

Hi @uoliveira

Verify if it is the same as suggested by @ToanDN and try changing the size of the image  (x and y values) and see if it helps?

Please, see the image attached. The right image is the left one, not the right. When i open the family, the image applied is right in the family but in the properties isn't.

Material definitions in project override those in family.  You need to edit that material in project and change the image to the correct one.

I do not know if i understand exactly what is going on. Maybe this screecast make it clearer than the discription that i gave before.

Are you sure you posted the correct screencast?  The only thing it shows is you placing a fixture on a wall and changing the width of it.  It clarifies absolutely nothing.

Hi @uoliveira

Your screencast stops exactly at the point where you seem to have selected the right images (please confirm with the name) and we are left to guess what happens next - which one gets applied to the element (which looks like logo or banner)

Can you share your Revit family and associated images to troublshoot? I can send you a private folder to upload if you'd like.

Looking forward to your reply update.

The problem was that i have setted the right image which is applied in the family, when i open the family the image applied on the extrusion is ok, but in the properties when i open the appearance field, the image applied was other (different). It is what i have tried to show in the video. I do not want just figure out the problem. I know that if i change the image for the correct one, the problem will be solved; actually, i just want understand why this problem is happening.

the path for images is

C:>BIM>PISTA>EI for the Premmia_Mob_500x775.jpg and Premmia_Mob_500x1380.jpg

C:>BIM>PISTA>TÓTENS>RODOVIÁRIO>SINALIZADOR>SINALIZADOR SETA DIREITA.jpg

When I open your family and re-assigned the image texture it appears correct.

I agree with @ToanDN this works fine.

@uoliveira  Please verify if your path is the same and re-assign.

Also, make sure you have no image assigned to transparency or cut out in your material  appearance:

transparency and cut out - no image.JPG

Noooo, the correct one is the other...this what you are not understand. I do not want change for this one (sinalizador seta direita) i need the other. But the Revit insists to keep with the worng image. Revit is changing the relative path by itself. Something is confliting, i think that maybe is the name in appearance  (ribbon bar) information field. I just want understand from specialists (you) what is going on, for me in the next time do not comit the same step that maybe is resulting in this strange behavior.

Hi @uoliveira

Try to create a new folder called additional render paths and  paste ONLY the required image (Premmia_Mob_500x775) images directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared\Materials\Textures\ additional render paths

Let me know if this works.

I think that maybe the problem is showed in the link below:

That is not the case with your material because in the first image you shared the Appearance Asset Tab shows a value of '0' see below -

Okay.  So when I opened you family to edit the material, obviously it showed nothing because of the image path name difference.  I clicked on the image name and point it to the same image you sent and the material shows correctly with that image (green arrow).  I don't know which one is the one you need but the material behavior is nothing out of normal on my end.

If your material preview shows a different image than the one you specify then it could be a memory/cache issue on your computer.  How about just create another asset and re-assign it?

"If your material preview shows a different image than the one you specify then it could be a memory/cache issue on your computer"

- It will be the only possible.

"How about just create another asset and re-assign it?"

- I just do not want to do this in every material that i have in the library.

Regards.
