Hi,
When I change the material on the lamp it still looks like it is the default material. I do change the object from the "object styles" tab but it doesn't look like it affects the object. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
And is it possible to add 3 materials to the lamp? (See picture) Something like nr.1 gets a metallic grey colour, nr. 2 get bulb on material and nr. 3 get plastic black matt.

Why don't you model the Housing (DWG) in the Revit Family. It's is very simple to do.
Using Revolve:
See "Material" Parameter in attached RFA.
I was thinking about that but since I have a lot of lamps in dwg file formats which need to be in rfa it is not possible/time consuming to do. And the one I posted was the easiest to draw.
But thank you for the suggestion.
Well then, do a Partial Explode and apply a Material to it.
...and Paint the element with Material Parameters
