terrain graphics override in 3D view

Hi,

I can't override terrain graphics in 3D view. View is set to  "consistent colors" mode there is a material assigned to the toposurface. I need a different color of toposurface i right click and choose "Override graphics in view>by element" and set surface foreground and background apperance to solid bright color.. doesn't work.  Assigning it by view template doesn't help either. I was able to change some toposurfece settings for plan view but for 3D doesn't work.. What Am I doing wrong??

Hi @Anonymous . Are you using "Shaded" visual style in 3d view? Can you take a screenshot of your screen or upload a problem file?

Best regards, Pavel Plotitsyn.

No, you are not going crazy.  Override Graphics [Surface Pattern/Color] in View=>by Element doesn't work on Toposurfaces.

...you can assign Surface and Section Cut Materials via the "Material" Property Parameter and "Section Cut Material" Parameter under Site Settings.

Here are the screenshots, surface settings are available so it should work somehow I assume. File is too big 80 mb. I use consistent colors view not shaded shadows and sun off.

I found the section material setting but no surface setting. I was able to change it by material settings but no other way.

You can duplicate the topo in different design options and assign each with different materials.
