Taking out the certain elements to views and optimizing the detailing process

Hi all,

I want to optimize the detail making process for certain elements, I was thinking about many solutions but all are time consuming and it is exactly what we are trying to avoid. So, I am thinking maybe some of you might have any good ideas.

First of all, the situation. I need to extract the specific 3D elements or groups and make a detail drawings out of it, it should include the front elevations, maybe plan views. In total I have around 50 types of this element (different lenghts, elements included) thus I need 50 detail drawings, including at least 3 views, prepare all the sheets..  It is the installation bridge which includes many electrical fixtures as sockets, switches, etc.

So it means, the process is to make the elevations and plan views for each element, crop it, isolate the elements, detail it, make sheets, place views on the sheets. I am thinking to copy the existing views and crop it and isolate the elements, but I am not sure if it would be more time efficient,

So my question would be, if you have any ideas or tips how to optimise this details making process? then you have many types of the elements which all need at least 2 different views, sheets a lot of cropping each view and isolating each element. It is very time consuming.

Maybe you met the same problem and can share your experience or tips?

You might want to look into assemblies in Revit. They do something close to what you are describing.
