Tags & Item numbers

Please advise with Revit 2023

When I create a new family then add Item Number in parameters ( make it shared parameter) , then upload item in to the project - why schedule doesn't pick this new item? so as tag wouldn't show its Item Number when in place.

(I do change Item in to Specialty Equipment and Upload tags for Specialty Equipment)

There could be any number of reasons its not working. Its hard to say what it is from your description. Are you sure you made it a shared parameter? Is it the same shared parameter in the tags? Are you sure the shared parameter is the one you scheduled? Did you make the family the right category?

Hi,

its definitely a shared parameter 

Item is under specialty equipment 

In tags parameters, under specialty equipment I have uploaded Specialty Equipment Tag (from folders - Annotate - Architecture - Specialty Equipment Tag

Are you sure the shared parameter is the one you scheduled? - not sure about that, could you please expand your question

Item number - 1.05

tag wouldn't show Item number

this is how I uploaded Tag

tag has been assigned to specialty equipment as well,

I cant figure out what else I need to do that Tag would show an Item number

could it be that I haven't downloaded full version?

What is the tag reading? Did you open the Tag and look?  Maybe it isn't reading what you want. If you want it to read a shared parameter, then you need to use the shared parameter in the tag as well.
