It seems wild that in 2023, as far as I can tell, there is still no way to have any Labels in any Tag type have adjustable label-text sizes within the project file.
I realize I can (and have) create sub-types of Labels with visibility parameters to be able to flip between left and right justified Label-text, and to have short, medium, and long Label-text field sizes, but this is a very inelegant solution.
Label text fields should just have the ability to at the least adjust the length of the label in the Project file dynamically with text-wrapping (just like Text in the Project file)...this sure seems like a useful / simple request that has been requested countless times (when I do an online search about this topic). It would be even better if there was a way (again, just like Text in the Project file) to be able to choose the Label-text justification.
Short of some simple changes to Revit, does anyone have a solution, even if complicated? Would love to make this less cumbersome for my team--having to toggle between six different sub-types of any given tag, to make it fit on screen, is not an efficient solution....
Make different types of tags in the family editor. In the project, select the type that works better for each case.
This is what I am doing. It is inefficient at best. Being able to adjust the size / justification of the Label text on a per-instance basis (just like the Text tool in Revit) would be infinitely more useful/ efficient.
here is an idea you can vote on.
