Stuck in modify/place component

Hi,

A few times a day when I use Revit 2023 i get stuck in the Modify/Place component tab and because of that I can't use Revit at all, all I can do is use the top ribbon to save and exit projects. I have to quit Revit and restart it for it to work again. This is getting very annoying. I got the same problem on different work stations.

Click on that properties drop-down and see if you can switch from Floor plan view to the component's.

Strange behavior.  What are your User Interface settings?

Happened again, and I can't do anything. I can click on the menus and properties panel but I cant do anything with the open model. I can't use keyboard or mouse there. I can use the scroll wheel on the mouse but nothing else. A wild guess, cannot say if that is why but I think this only happens when I use Enscape. I'm working with interior design and is using Enscape pretty frequently. When I tried to import a new family to a project I just started it happened again. It might be because of Enscape..

It always happens when I get this notification:

" Enscape is awaiting for Revit's API to respond. An open Revit dialog may be blocking progress. "

However there are no open dialog in Revit but it's acting like there was, as I said earlier I cannot use Revit other than the top ribbon to save, exit and restart it for it to work again.

Yeah I probably could do that, however I need to use Enscape and unfortunately that wont help me.

Enscape blames Revit and Revit blames Enscape. I can’t believe no one else has this issue.

Maybe there is something unique about your situation. An errant setting or maybe something about the model could be throwing it off.

Also, is there any chance there is a warning window off in a corner or hidden from view that needs to be clicked? I get stuck like this sometimes.

Only this:

"Enscape is awaiting for Revit's API to respond. An open Revit dialog may be blocking progress."

When this error occurs, have you tried the Windows functions to move the active window?
Press Windows Start Button and the Cursor arrow several times.
This should move the active window across the (one or multiple screens)
This often occurs when changing workplaces with different monitor setups.

Maybe you could check in your registry where your 'enscape' window is placed and remove the registry entry to 'reset' the window placement.

Edit:
Also Check the Revit forms/Windows.
