Good morning all. I have created two drafting pattern - filled regions that work perfectly for rigid insulation. I would like to add that pattern inside a wall to have it show when the wall is cut. It seems to rotate the pattern incorrectly applying either of the filled regions. Is there a setting to "not rotate" or something to get my cut pattern to show up properly inside the wall?
You can see the two filled regions I have created. One vertical and one horizontal. If I add either of those patterns to the cut pattern of the wall it shows as the "wall cut pattern" image on the left. I would like the one on the left to look like the one on the right. Is there a way to have the pattern rotate with the wall?? Thanks.
Regards Peter.

Edit the pattern type and switch it from orient to view --> align with element
Yes that is the standard Rigid Insulation filled region that was previously in the wall. I am trying to match CAD details and I managed to created both the horiz and vert filled region for the patterns I want. This seems like it should have been fixed so many years ago. Some things just boggle my mind about Revit. I know the "it's not AutoCAD argument" but this is not that. It's just plain functionality. Then people wonder why Revit does not look as good as AutoCAD.
I was hoping there was some way of doing this, but maybe not?? Thanks for the input.
Regards Peter.
Sorry, I edited my response. You can do it by changing the pattern to orient to view. I just almost never use that so completely forgot for a second.
Awesome. I changed it to "align with element" and it worked. I remembered that variable but couldn't remember whether it either works or where it was located. Thank you.
Regards Peter.
