Structural shapes

Doing some Revit Structure drawings today, preparing drawings from an existing building's PDF's reference drawings,  and might have some questions as the work progresses.  Will like to thank in advance to all who might be interested in this topic and who want to share their knowledge.  

Shape 2.5VS1: where I can get that shape to add to a structural floor plan? (It is somewhere hidden in the US Imperial/Structural Framing/Steel?  - although I do not see it there).

The 2.5VS1 is a joist substitute profile and designates a joist that is 2 1/2" (2.5) in depth. Revit does not come with this profile, but you can download the FREE Vulcraft NuBIM joist tool which does have that as well as a bunch of other special profiles and deck tools - http://vulcraft.com/bim-technology/revit

Will be fine, but let me ask, is there a catch or a penalty to be paid for that "free" download?  Or another way, it is just put on our drawings without any obligations, bugs, or any other thing unknown?

you can certainly read the terms of conditions that Vulcraft has for the tool. Revit I'm sure also has a bunch of terms of conditions along with every other piece of software that is on your computer. 

Test it out and see what you think before you use it on a project. That is one way to better understand the tool. You are under no obligation to download or use it. You could certainly use a 2 1/2" angle or make a 2 1/2" channel to represent the joist substitute.
