Structural Model beams acting wierd

Im having an issue with placing beams on grids, Revit won't let me place automatic beams on a sloped work plane unless my columns are not attached to the sloped workplane, it keeps telling me that 'no beams were added', the only time it seems to work is if i detach the columns from the sloped workplane and then try and place the beams on grids, why can't i use automatic place beams on grids if my columns are already attached to the sloped workplane?

I don't see this problem in my tests...

..did you try to do it in another file?

When activating Beams on Grid , you have to be placed on a View of  a Level that cuts all the Columns....as you can see from my screencast.. The Ridge Level cuts no Columns...

Thank you! finally I understand, I didn't know i had to be a view that cuts all the columns, that why it seemed like some times it worked in some views and in other views it wouldn't work, I couldn't understand why but now I know. Thank you very much. (this was really starting to frustrate me).
