Structural framing and assemblies

So I have been learning revit for my company in the precast concrete fabrication. I am using the precast extension to split the walls. Once split I want to make an assembly of the wall and a structural framing angle that will be cast into the concrete. Is there something special I need to get them to join or would I have to make a component family in place of the structural framing?

You could:

-"Nest" the struct. member into the precast panel

-Use a void to cut geometry to "carve out" the precast at the struct. member.

That might work for an embedded angle but what about a flush to the face angle?

Same approach--nested struct. family, reference plane with dimension parameter, lock nested family to ref. plane. No void/cut geometry needed.
