Structural columns in linked file - what's this time? (Revit 2017)

Sorry, I know this is a redundant post,

It's the first time I don't figure out why a column is not showing properly in a plan view.

This is a model with a structural model linked into. I checked the family column is showing right in the structural model.

As you can see, from the linked model the two columns on the left are working fine, but the other column is showing "wireframe". They're identical, same type, same offset, same properties, same workset. The walls are placed with the same offset, there's no particular view template setting set in this view, but it happens even if I create a new view from scratch.

I read that one way to solve it is to make the wall "transparent", but it's a sloppy solution and in some views there are some windows/doors below they'll eventually show up, so I need to fix it from the actual settings.

Any tips I didn't recall?? As I said, I had similar issues in past with this, I read all previous posts, this is the first time I encountered something like this.

Hi @Anonymous - try this - 

Open the Structural Model

Select one of the columns (you did say that they are the same family, right?) and make sure that t his box is checked -

Checked, they were set "pre-cut" by default.... This is the weird thing... On some work, on others don't ...

I Think I sorted it out.. Could it be involved with the "Join" status of the columns and the floor in the structural file? I think the ones being hidden are "joined" to the slab .....

Maybe. Joined elements do share the same line weight and fill pattern.  Have you tried switching join order? 

...another thought: you could set up the Host View to display link "By Linked View".

I usually  would do that, but the structural model from the consultants is "viewless", so I prefer to apply some graphic properties this time. As soon as I spot the "weirdness" what's related to, I can handle it. Thanks!

Did you try switching join order?  Or simply unjoin?

Either I unjoin some elements or changed the join order, I solved it already.. Yes
