This is the booger that I (and the OP) are talking about.  What do you think?  Can you remove without converting to Sketch-Based?  School me.

I could remove it only with changing the tread depth to 200mm instead of 300mm.

I haven't modeled a stair since I think 3-4 year … I do not remember they were that complicated or that ugly lol

45 replies on 2 steps and still more solutions coming! I gotta grab something to drink and read through all 3 pages!

I removed it with the cut profile tool from the view tab, and this is only a 2d modification

What do you mean?  You don't need to cut geometry.  @MostafaElashmawy gave the solution. I tested it. It was ridiculously simple. I'm embarrassed, @RDAOU is laughing and@ToanDN, I think, went home early to see if there was any leftover champagne to drink.

@barthbradley I can't challenge you.

People like @ToanDN , you and @RDAOU  are like legends for me.

I learned alot from your previous solutions.

I'm just trying to take a small part of the cake.

@basma_salman: Why @ToanDN  and not me for a Solution Credit?  I brought just as much value. Convert to Sketch is definitely a valid approach as I proved.  C'mon.

@MostafaElashmawy: You're on my short of favorites -- right up there with @ToanDN and @RDAOU.  Let's just compete for those 'lil green checkmarks AND have a good time doing it together.

@MostafaElashmawyflattering comment lol..you are quite good at it too helping and providing solutions...but sometime u do spam 3-4 replies in a row which makes me wonder if there is a race going on

@barthbradleyno competition here 🙂you are the boss … I definitely prefer giving someone the solution or workflow I follow instead of wasting my time get the Stair tool to behave the way they want just because they insist on using it and that will get me a green tick. That being said, the smartest reply I've read in those 3 pages was that given by @martijn_pater ...I do not believe I have ever heard of anyone modeling a 1 step using the stair tool!!!

I can imagine somone new having issues with stairs, comes to this forum, bumps into a post 4 pages long and in the end the conclusion of it is "Crack your head with the Stair tool" lol ... Hell NO!... you need 1 step to go from slab 1 to slab 2? simple, make that step part of slab 2!!! Need to cut the part of the stair inside walls slabs and other element? why not convert it to a geometry?

@RDAOU  🙂 I would argue it's a valid approach 🙂 1 step will likely be some sort of (prefab?) block step... I guess…? or cast-in-place, but works anyway...

ps. Anyone else feeling the urge to quote Neil Armstrong here? lol

@martijn_pater  nothing there to be argued even if you disagree that the best approach is the practical one
