Staircase - Landing and half landing detail

Good evenings,

I am doing a 3D detail of the staircase and how it joins to the landing and half landing.

In the case of the start and finish it is easier since it can be solved with a shaft, but in the case of the ones in the center, since the half landing is not considered as a slab, the shaft tool can't be used.

How can I model this detail?

I am attaching some images for further explanation.

Like this? this is a stair by component, the floor on the left is a landing. 

i just used the out of the box Precast stair.

To prepare such a detail I prefer model the Run as component - model in place or you can use cut profile (2D detail)

Yes exactly like that.

What are you refering with out of the box precast stair? Could you please show me where that option is?

Also, I have been trying with the notch option, but I have noticed that this is with respect to the "Monolithic Thickness" element (see in the picture = 21cm).

So if I have a tread over it, it creates gap between them as if the monolithic element and the run were at the same level and not including the tread.

Does your solution works even if I have a tread layer?

the Out of the Box stair is the stair options that come from the architectural template. there are half a dozen or so stairs in the Residential_Default.rte and a handful in the Commercial_Default.rte template. the one i used is called Precast.  a lot of my architects will use the component stair for its initial placement, then select the stair and pick Convert to change it to a Sketch stair.

I had to quit this topic for a few days but I'm back to it.

First of all thanks for your help and time.

For my unfortunate, the problem is still not solved.

There are two main issues that aren't solved yet:

A)

The precast tools do create the gap, but it is not controllable.

Each tread has a length of 28cm. So then when I apply the notch option (picture 2 -> 2,1), it does extend the tread length. So it gets transformed into the sum of "tread 28cm+ notch extension 13,5cm" (picture "1,1") and I need it to have a total of 28 at the beginning and at the ending (picture 1,2).

B)

I try to explain the issue of the landing between pictures 2  (2,1 and 2,2)

The notch eight is somehow referred to as the "B" reference instead of the "A" (picture 2,2). I have changed the landing type by unchecking the "Tread" option (picture3 -> 3,1 and 3,2) and it builds the gap properly. This means that somehow this height uses as reference "The Monolithic material" thickness.

Another issue is that most of the templates that come with Revit are deleted since my company has its own tools and therefore I should create the family if necessary.

Prepare such a landing in precast stair is impossible.

I usually model the run and the landing as model in - place.

like @XXalessio.amodioXX said, you probably will not be able to do that with the stair tool. in cases like that we usually get the stair as close as we can and then drop a Call-out on it, using the "Reference Other View" option. then point the Call-out to a standard detail.

Thanks for your answers.

It is a bit complicated to do In place components since all these elements must be linked to a cost list.

I have been checking the reference view advice and it seems to work fine.

Another solution came up to my mind. Is it possible to create a line that when there is a section passing over it, creates a 2D drawing in that place? So I could place a line at the beginning and end of the stair and will automatically change the 2D drawings.

for Line work, there are 2 options, Model, Detail and Symbolic.

• Model lines are visible in all views, so if you look at it in 3D you will see the Model Lines
• Detail lines only show in the View they were drawn in. so if you place a Detail line in a section view, it will not be seen in any other Sections, Elevations or Plans.

so you can cut a section of the stair and place Detail lines. the detail lines will only be visible in that section.
