staircase handrail transaction

Hi All,

I’m stuck with the below staircase hand railing modeling. The task is to create 900mm height handrail form the pitch and 1100mm height in all mid & main landing. Accordingly, I’ve created the staircase. But how to make handrail transaction from 900 to 1100mm in all landings. Please look at the images below. I tried changing using the flat& defining the custom height. But it didn’t happen. So any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

I’m not sure if it’s possible to have a railing acting like that.  But it is not hard to achieve this using 2 railing type.

The railing with red lines are 900mm high, the blue ones are 1100mm high.

You will need to manually adjust the handrail to match.

Use tab to select the Top Rail, then click the Edit Rail.

Edit Path, and extent your railing to match.

Sounds like you are wanting a Landing Height Adjustment

Hi @barthbradley ,

As I mentioned above I am creating a railing. In which I need the railing to be 900mm height in the pitch and 1100mm height in the mid & main landing. By @bin  help, I managed to create. But I am facing a error. The Place where I am getting 1050mm should be 900mm. I have attached the snapshot and revit file for your reference.

Thanks in advance.

Mathematically impossible with your current design. You're sloping the rail to transition from 900 to 1100.  How the heck would 900 be maintained along the slope? If you change the 1050 to 900, then there is no slope; no transition.  Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

Set Landing Height Adjustment and set the Railing transition to add Vertical segment.
