Stair run material is not consistent

Hi everybody,
Does anyone know why the stair attached is not consistent in material? Run does not follow the material assigned. Even a single run is showing different materials in a single piece.

Did it get painted?

No, the Revit file is attached. That's the cut pattern that has issue. We cannot paint the cut pattern.

I don't know how you managed to create that stair.  Maybe just redraw it.

@vsalimiGRMK9

It is using a different monolithic material

  • Edit the Stair Type >>> Under Construction >>> Edit Landing Type >>> Set the Monolithic Material By Category

Thank you for your comment, yes we could redraw it. But, I need to know why this happens.

Applying <By Category> assigns the material defined for stairs in Object Style. However, I want its material to be different from the material in Object Style.

Reason is the paint you applied to the top face of the Stair as well as the sides of the run which conflicting with the Monolithic Material...To fix:

Option 1: Go to Material Editor and Set the patterns (Surface as well as Cut) in the PAC Concrete material u used to paint stairs

Option 2: Remove the paint, and simply use the PAC Concrete or Any other Material as Monolithic Material and it should also work fine
