Stair Double Cut Line Graphics

Hi all. I am in Revit 2021 but I've seen this issue in all versions. I have a stair and want to show a double zigzag cut line. The stair is on Level 8 and there is a stair above and below. When I apply the double zigzag cut line I can see the stair below in between the two cut lines. This area should be blank. See image for further clarification. How can I have this be blank without hiding the stair below or adding a masking region?

I didn’t consider the linework tool - figured it would adjust the entire lower stair rather than that one portion. Did you use the linework tool in the example above with my file?

Sounds like it would have to come down to linework tool or masking region. Not the best solution but it doesn’t seem like there is a true fix…other than recreating each stair. Even then, it seems that if a level changes then the graphic gets finicky and might have to be redrawn again.

I hid the lower Stair in that screenshot. What remained was the ABOVE linework. The Linework tool was able to target just the linework between the cut marks.
