Stair design to French Building Code

Hi Guys,

I'm a Newbe to Revit.

I'm based in the UK but need to create stairs to French Building Code, can anyone suggest a simple solution.

Interesting question. I've been to France. Notwithstanding of the different codes and regulations governing their construction, French stairs look just the ones in the US.  Slight humor aside, what specific modeling features are you looking for?

I think you misunderstood my question, Sir. What I asked you was: "what specific modeling features are you looking for." By "modeling", I mean 3D modeling tools that we designers use to build stairs in Revit. I wasn't talking about the specific Government, State and Local Building Codes that our stair designs must adhere to.  I ask because I'm fairly certain that I could model a "French" stair with my U.S. version of Revit.

I have reworded my question:

Can I model a "French" stair with my UK version of Revit by just changing the standard (the same as changing a steel section from British Standard Universal Column to a European IPE)?

I think I'm just missing the how-to process of flipping to the French Standard.

Can you just edit the Stair type and modify the properties  to match the French standards.  I can't imagine they are drastically different from the UK's, if any, it's the sign telling "Lent Mesdames et Messieurs s'il vous plaît déplacer vers la droite" instead of "... to the left".

I was answering the first question indeed.
Having already installed both the English and French versions of Revit, there is no difference between the two in terms of stairs.
It is just necessary to adjust the standard elements correctly in order to comply with the requirements of the client and French law.

je répondait à la première question en effet.
Pour avoir déjà installé les deux versions de Revit anglo-saxonne et française, il n'y a aucune différence entre les deux pour ce qui est des escaliers.
Il est juste nécessaire de régler correctement les éléments standards afin de se conformer aux demandes du maître d'ouvrage et de la loi française.

I was told it was an automatic switch when you changed your base template (bad information) to the country you required the stair rules automatically changed.

This is obviously incorrect.

As virtually everyone has commented it has to be done manually.
