Spot Elevation in RCP

I'm working on a RCP plan and came across a problem when I tried using the spot elevation to tag all the room heights. It wont recognize the ceiling area but it will grab the light fixtures and edges of the wall. Tried going to floor plan and underlaying the ceiling plan and it wont recognize it either. We also tried hiding the ceiling and making another one and putting the spot elevation and it still wont recognize it. I'm wondering if its something to do with the rage view? I tried playing with it as well and nothing. I read that if the ceiling is at 9 you want the cut plane to be in the middle of the ceiling but if i do that the ceiling wont show at all and neither would the  spot elevation.problem 2.JPGproblem.JPG

Is the ceiling visible in the View?

...did you try TAB-Selecting?

...are you in Wireframe?

...my money's on Wireframe. I'm all in.  Let me know.  😉
