splittint faces on walls

screen shot.pngWhy do I keep getting the attached message when trying to split the face of this wall and no other wall?

It looks to be that one of your boundary lines are hanging over the edge of the wall.  Similar to the image below:

It is hard to tell if you have more than one loop. Can you do a screenshot with only the wall isolated? Make sure that your splitting loop is meeting the prerequisite stated in the very error message.
