Hi,

I need to split face horizontally and vertically in the same time, to have tiles.

Split face allows me only one direction / not intersecting.

Any help?

You can add tile lines and a map to the surface layer of the wall.  This will save the time of splitting the face and applying paint to each tile.

Tiles to the surface does not work, because the divisions are not supposed to be all same.

Curtain wall doesnt work too - i have a structure wall with 4 layers. A i want to split face of the exterior one.

The goal is to divide the face of the facade to various tiles.

Do you have an image or sketch of what you're trying to achieve?

Are they regular?

Do they have a pattern?

I'm not sure why a tiled finish won't work from your image.

However, you can split the face of a wall into tiles.  You just need to create them individually.  This seems like a lot of work, so we need to investigate if there are easier solutions.Split face.JPG

Split face tool allows you to sketch a shape on the face. it follows the same rules as sketching in Revit. YOu can darw the sketch in any direction.

This example in the video shows sketching squares (edges are horizontal and vertical) on a wall.
