Split face element missing

I drew a design on my wall using the split face; however the design dissappeared. The design is still there because when i hover the mouse on the wall or click on the split face tool again it shows up but it does not appear on my wall. It seems to be hidden in some way. Is there a way to solve this. I need my design to appear on my wall again. Thank you

When you say "Design", is this a Decal or something else? What is that Designm, in terms of type of Revit element?

Kind regards,
Ian

Try this -

Go to a wireframe view where you can see the lines

1) Use the Pick Line tool to create visible lines

2) If the design needs to be 3D - use Architecture>>Component>>Model In Place to extrude the design. HOWEVER - once the model in place is done, please save this as a family.

Click on the in place geometry - Edit in Place - make it into a group - R (or File button) - SaveAs - Libaary - Group

Reinsert the family and delete the original in place modeled geometry.

I used the pencil and I drew eyes on the wall. Everything was fine but now it no longer shows up on the wall.  If I hover the mouse over the wall it highlights the eyes but it is not appearing on the wall. It seems as though it is hidden and I dont know how to fix the problem

Again - use Detail Lines and the Pick Line tool to make those lines visible.

All else failing, share a file

paint it.

the split face tool splitted that portion of the wall but it have no different properties.

Only the lines that you drawn.

the lines should be seen if you changed the visual style to hidden lines or wireframe.

But to see the surface you shade paint the splitsurface with different material to take different color so you can identify it.

Any updates on this? I tried to paint the surface as @MostafaElashmawy suggested, but it did not work. It appears the same way in a 3D view, highlightable and selectable, but just not visible. @ToanDN any suggestions?

1. Hover over your missing lines to highlight them (if possible)

2. click on them and "edit boundary"

3. Once you enter the edit mode, click the green check mark to finish the drawing. You don't need to change anything about it.

4. Voila!.. Hopefully.

I've been struggling with this one for a while but this finally solved it. The hard part is getting the lines to show up when you hover over them to select them.

I was having the same issue.  The split faces would all show on the 3D view, but on the elevation only one of my split faces walls would show, but not another.  (The deeper setback wall didn't show)

It turned out that the issue was with my view depth.  Even though I had it set to "No Clip", it showed the wall but not the split face.  When I changed the view to have a "Clip" and showed a depth past the wall it worked.

I hope that may help.
