Splayed window void not cutting joined wall

We have a splayed window reveal (void, not opening cut) that isn't cutting the joined (new i.e. later phase) wall (see attached).

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Did you join both of the walls (Front and back wall) together, or is the hatched wall not actually a wall? Also check your constraints in the window family to make sure the void isnt going rogue on you.

The wall are joined (new and old - blue and 45degree hatched).

The opening (square) cut in the window family is working.

The void cut in the splayed reveal family isn't cutting the joined wall i.e. not working as I'd expect it to i.e. like the opening cut.

It can be done.  You just need to make the void cut deeper than the main wall thickness so that it can cut through the joined wall.  In the example I add a parameter so that I can change it to match the thickness of the joined wall.

Thanks @ToanDN . So for the existing window reveals/splays, we'd have a parameter to increase the depth, that would cut the joined wall in the proposed phase?

Why do voids and opening cuts vary?

Opening Cuts are fixed to the object in which they are hosted, Voids are only limited by spatial association (With parameters/constraints. More freedom with voids.

Yes. If the new wall joins with the existing and the void is deep enough then the window will cut.
