Cutting ONLY the floor
Cutting ONLY the roof
Anyone knows how can I do LAYERING cuts on ONLY 1 element instead of the entire model? Example like the above. With only a "Wavy" cut which is like layered, but on only the floor for the first example, and only the roof for the second example.
Because I realised the section box / section command cuts the ENTIRE model which Is not what I wanted. I need only a specific element/component (example, the wall or maybe the roof) to be cut, but in a "Wavy"-Layered manner like the above.
Please anyone knows? ![]()

Model-in-place voids are your best bet in this scenario. Or create the assembly as a family and have a visibility parameter to turn on/off your presentation model (wavy one) vs your working drawing model (complete assembly)
Thanks for the reply, but as a complete beginner, I have absolutely no idea what u had just said... ![]()
In short, use Model in Place Components or create a Revit Family. You will be able to get the look you are going for. A course in Advanced Revit should do the trick
Are they for presentation? You can create Parts from a layered roof, Split the part to create the wavy portion of it, then hide the side you want to hide.
